Our annual Pirates of Lanier Charity Poker Run is a fun weekend family event! Starting with the Meet and Greet on the Thursday before the run, all the way to the After Party and Fireworks Display! A poker run is an organized event where participants, usually using motorcycles, must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. In the classic game of poker, each player is dealt five cards and the person with the best hand wins. - Run It Once Poker has announced that it will host a three-handed, bracketed charity tournament featuring 27 poker pros and amateurs. All the action will be streamed on Twitch on Saturday, December 19. The tournament, which will function similarly to a heads-up MTT bracket but three-handed, will use the operator’s new SNG Select tournaments.

BROOKINGS – The DAV Brookings Chapter No. 22 and the 727th Transportation U.S. Army National Guard Unit will host their 16th annual DAV/727th Charity Poker Run on Saturday at the Swiftel Center, 824 32nd Ave., Brookings.
Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the run departing with a parade at high hoon on Sixth Street and Main Avenue. There is a $20 registration fee. The event is open to all vehicles and will be held rain or shine with a $500 best hand and many other prizes. All proceeds go to the DAV Transportation Network.
The DAV/727th Charity Poker Run provided the DAV Hospital Transportation Network in FY2019 with a check for $43,000, which brings the total raised by the event to $268,000 over 15 years.
All vehicles are welcome.

Multi-Table Tournaments
Players start multi-table tournaments with a fixed number of chips and play until one player has all the chips. Blinds and antes increase as the tournament progresses, as players are eliminated tables are consolidated.
Cash Games
All Cash games will begin a waiting list at the beginning of every event and are played with nine players at each table unless otherwise indicated.
